I don't think we're using the site-formerly-known-as-Twitter much any more, but just in case I'm going to share this with our Communications staff at work. Thank you!

I await the next wave of hate filled postings and podcasts in the gaming sphere wailing about how Steve Jackson Games continues to be "woke", which serves as confirmation Steve Jackson continues to do it righ..., uh, make that well.

Good riddance, unfortunately, to the horrible place it has become.
I know a lot of people have moved to places like Bluesky and Threads, though I think the former is more useful and less locked down for creative purposes. I've got some invite codes that are piling up if anyone from SJG needs some! |

Mattaui's comment raises a question. Will SJ Games be establishing a presence on any of those newer social media sites like Bluesky, Threads, or Mastodon?

Steve Jackson Games has a Mastodon account:
https://dice.camp/@sjgames@bird.makeup I *thought* there was a Bluesky account, but can't find it. Mod: This is not a Mastodon account managed by Steve Jackson Games

Re: November 15, 2023: Good-Bye, Twitter. We Miss You.
I noticed that these posts are being censored.
At 12:50 AM today (November 15, 2023), someone named mamaferrari posted a critique of this topic. A little while later, I checked back to this thread and that comment was fully removed. However, I did save a print-out of the post. Steve Jackson games has been known to do this on controversial topics, and I suspected they may attempt it again here. I have no idea if any other comments were removed since I haven't been monitoring this thread over night, but notice how there is no real disagreement in the comments that have been kept. I fear the distortion of reality by those with power much more than I fear "hate speech." Take your screen shot of this "reality" before it disappears down the memory hole. |

I with you there. I'm also with Steve being able to pick and choose the social media platforms he wishes to make use of.

Re: November 15, 2023: Good-Bye, Twitter. We Miss You.
Good. I prefer getting my SJG info from the Daily Illuminator and emails and interacting with SJG and fans via these forums and emails.
Never had a Twitter account and my FB account was created pre-IPO. Didn't take long to discover that FB was a time sink and I decided if I was going to waste time staring at a screen, I would rather be playing a game instead of seeing a "friend's" status update. Lost the FB password years ago. Never mind the fact that most social media are massive data collection sites and you the user are the product. |
