What thread? Maybe this one, "Move for larger creatures"?

About right. From my experience once you go go beyond SM +1 you tend to find yourself with a cargo of cripling social and technical disadvantages related to weight, bulk and physical perception. Characters cease to be able to interact effectively with the normal built environment and tend to find themselves seperated from normal interactions.

With the example of the better thought out of my PC ships (mentioned in my previous post) I quickly tended to find that the mismatch in scale left the character (a particularly loopy Rogue AKV, or at least the AI from one) effectively redundant much of the time hence the tele-operated drones adopted after a session or so. After a while it became a point of debate wether the ship or one of the human sized drones was the characters principle body.

Even in combat size proved to be disadvantageous, in 'character scale' combat the hundred ton ship actualy proved to be at best a tame plot device and at worst a liability. Even after it was modified to handle small scale situations it still had difficulty in bringing its weapons to bare and posed an unacceptible risk of overkill.
