Default Call for Playtesters: GURPS Banestorm: Whispers of Tohrent

Do you run or play in campaigns set on Yrth? Fantastic! We are seeking playtesters for GURPS Banestorm: Whispers of Tohrent, by Thomas Pugh – a 21-page, low-powered adventure for GURPS Banestorm.

The only firm requirement is that you have and are conversant with Banestorm. The adventure was originally setting-neutral and adapted to Yrth, so it needs a solid canon check against that book. However, we intend to give first priority to people who can play through the adventure, which means having the supplements you usually use to run fantasy (notably, GURPS Magic) – and of course a gaming group!

The playtest is currently scheduled to run for at least two weeks, starting on February 17, 2025 and ending no sooner than March 3, 2025. We will extend it as needed if discussion is still going strong toward the end. Maximum duration is a month.

Please apply only if you have Banestorm (and ideally Magic). Preferential playtest slots will be given to those who have spent at least $50 on PDFs from Warehouse 23 in the past calendar year, though this is not a requirement. For more, see the general playtest information page.

Prospective playtesters should email Roger Burton West at pt-tohrent@firedrake.org with [playtest] in the subject. Include your preferred email address for the closed playtest mailing list, your name as you wish it to appear in the published supplement, your Warehouse 23 email if it's different from the address for the list, and a few words on why we should pick you: qualifications, experience, current gaming group(s), etc. Please use this format:

I've been running campaigns set on Yrth since GURPS Fantasy with the demon on the cover, back in the 1980s! I consider myself an expert on the setting and on the standard GURPS magic system. I have a group that meets weekly, and I figure we could set aside a couple of sessions to play through this adventure.
We look forward to hearing from you!

I'll check and see if Grand Master Alchemist Bilal ibn-Muhammid ibn-Yusaf al-Tredroy might be interested. I'm sure Tredroy's new Guildmaster Alchemist, Grand Master Gribiik the Alchemist, will be much too busy.

What does "low-powered" mean here? Just "not Dungeon Fantasy" i.e. < 250 points? Or is this for 75-point Peasant Heros (to name the lowest-point total occupational template in Banestorm 4e)?
