I was looking thematically at the idea that America's liberty was born from the barrels of the Minutemen's guns - arguably she should be married to the personification of the constitution and have other liberties - of speech, conscience and what have you - as her children.

I can see that argument, but on the other hand it seems to me that the minutemen were already devoted to her.

I might wonder, by the way, if Minute Man has a brother, Sixty Minute Man . . . ?

Frankly, a goddess of Immigration isn't out of place. Though that might be one of the weird niches of lady liberty. No pantheon is complete with out someone who has two domains that seem only vaguely related.

She is also the Mother of Exiles, as it says, right there on the bronze.

Johney Cash: god of country music

Hohner: A german import, god of amateur musicians.

Red Vicky: A Swiss import. goddess of cutlers, woodworkers, boy scouts, and MacGyver.

Burger King: god of hamburgers.

IReS: god of pain

Vito: god of the Mafia

Apollo: god of Nasa

William Gates: god of nerds

Rocky Balboa: god of jocks

Garry Gygax: god of roleplaying gamers

Sam Malone: god of drink, fellowship, and universal nomenclature.

Artemis: god of the Pacific Northwest

Samuel Eliot Morrison: god of the sea

George Patton: god of war

Old Yeller: god of dogs

Spirit: god of horses

Clint Eastwood: god of violence and taciturnity

Lampetia: goddess of cowgirls

Pluto: god of Wall Street

The Village Smithy: god of artisans and inventors

Colt: god of gunsmiths, and equality.
