Default Wishing Rings and One Shot Items

Hey. Must these items be in play to use them or can you hide them in your hand for future use? I'm mainly referring to when you are in combat. Can you play a one shot from your hand while in combat or must it be in your belt? Ditto with wishing rings.

Chanx!

Yes, you may play your Wishing Ring from your hand. In general, one-shot items (of which Wishing Ring is one) may be played either from your hand or from the table.

(There is actually a section in the rules that addresses this, with the Wishing Ring as an example.)

Thanks. I must've gone through the rules too fast.
