Default Painted Munchkin Pawns.

Hello everybody,

recently I bought the Munchkins and the Munchkin Babes and I had fun painting them. If some of you guys did the same, I would very much like to see them.

Here is my end result:

I hope you like them.

I have also made some orcs (green skin) and some zombie monsters (blue/white skin).

It didn't occur to me just how MAD the babes are until I had painted their faces. Look at those evil grins! Also it is always fun to paint chainsaws of massive dismemberment :)

Love the tabletop treatment man! May have to dig out my Citidal paints and give this a go too.
Now lets see those orcs and zombies!

Great idea! Now I made my own Flickr page with more pictures of the painting process and the zombie-monsters and orcs. Enjoy!

Damn nice job, Jan. These would be a center piece for any Munchkin Collector.

Old thread, but thanks for the pics. I'm finding them very *helpful* in painting my Munchkin mini's.

Suggestions for anyone thinking of painting them:

1. Get the Reaper Learn to Paint Kit 2: Basic Skin and Cloth. Even though the miniatures are based on 2D cartoon art, they still have quite a few details to paint. Remember to get a Size 1 round Winsor and Newton Series 7 paintbrush. Use two rinse jars, each with a drop of dish soap.

2. Get a black 005 micron pen. These miniatures, such as the teeth of the Munchkin with chainsaw, have straight lines that are more easily "paintable" with a pen than a paintbrush.

3. To paint red, first paint a coat of pink (or flesh). Then paint red on top of it.

4. To base you figures, paint them black. Then, after painting the feet of the miniature, paint the base with glue. Dip the base into sand, such as playground sand. Wash the sand in black.

I am thinking of doing this as well. I have Metal Level Counter and I am planning on attending a painting marathon event the weekend of September 28 - 29 to learn how to paint miniatures. My plan is to purchase a set of Munchkin Pawns to use for tests before trying on the metal.
