Default Pricing Advantages Based on Difficulty

Has anyone ever attempted to generate a system to price advantages based on how difficult they are to learn? Something like how skills are priced based on their difficulty.

How do you price the stuff that can't be learned?

A lot of leveled advantages would need cheap prices for low levels and high prices for high levels, rather than flat prices per level.

Previous gurps editions did this somewhat with pricing advantages based on their rairity in the human population (I think unaging for example was 40 points) and assumed a 100 point base line.

It could work overall you have to have a fairly flat pricing scheme that keeps in mind that attributes cost either 10 or 20 points and most advantages are just very specialized attribute modifiers (talents being the clearest example of this). Its a case of if advantage x costs more than a reasonale percentage of this attribute its better to get the attibute instead level of math.

Unaging is 100% non-existent in the human population. I doubt that all Advantages of which that is true were priced at 40 points.

I don't think it's remotely true that most advantages are very specialized attribute modifiers.

Well, it probably is true if you count in all the perks...

There actually IS a genetic condition that causes humans to never age. The downside is that it tends to kick in around 3, effectively leaving somebody a toddler for the rest of their life.

Unless there are actual examples of patients with that condition making it to what would otherwise be old age with no degeneration, I don't think that qualifies.

I did with innate attack, the cost is around infinite points.

How's this:

Price mundane advantages based on how difficult they are to learn if learnable, 50 points if not learnable.

Price exotic advantages at 50 points, reducing from there based on how common they are in known species of living creatures.

Price supernatural traits at 50 points, reduced or raised based on how common they are in mythical beings. Doesn't matter if this makes magically levitating cheaper than winged flight or walking on water more expensive than swimming in lava.

I just price everything as a perk. Easier that way.
