(IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]

The next few days are fairly routine: go out and find communities to agree to be inoculated all day, then come back, engage in shooting practice, and relax. A lot of the time, Peter is able to entertain himself with the others. Other times, he plays with Goliath by himself.

Peter follows this routine and earns his keep until it's time to get off this backwards planet... His hopes are high that they can get him home, and he dreams of his own bed, seeing his parents, and drinking an ice cold cherry coke...

The 10 days drag on, but at last they finish.

Peter is waiting around for the 'conveyor' to come in, when he senses something strange. Something with the 6th sense that has been inactive since he came to this world. Right where the conveyor is supposed to come in, about 10 minutes before its expected. Is this part of the process?

"Can you guys feel that?" Peter asks...

He thinks it's probably just part of the process...

((OOC: But I'm guessing it's not!))

Another guy waiting for travel: "Sense what? I don't feel anything."

Peter walks around the area that's setting off his spider sense.

"Right around here... I know it sounds nuts, but since leaving home I've been able to sense certain weird stuff, and there's definite weirdness here..."

Peter doesn't know any of the folks waiting here to go home or unload the conveyor.

Tall man with moustache: "That's the landing zone. Clear out of it. And stop messing around."

A woman with short hair and not much makeup at all speaks in his defense: "We suspect he's a parachronic. Its entirely possible he can detect incoming conveyors."

Peter backs away from the area... Supposing that maybe he is sensing the incoming conveyor... he has no frame of reference, so maybe they do run on what he might call magic!

((OOC: The player suspects otherwise...))

Goliath does seem to be uneasy about the place. Perhaps he can feel the magic too. The feeling builds for a good 10 minutes, then peaks, and with a flash of energy only Peter (and perhaps his dog) seem able to feel, his ticket out of here appears. It looks like nothing so much as a big metal box with doors. The doors open, and a number of people pile out. And everyone starts moving crates of stuff out of the box. As far as Jordan can tell, the stuff is mostly medical supplies and fuel.

With everything unloaded, Peter and Goliath are piled into the box, along with a few others. There is a lot of double and triple checking that everything is in the right place, and finally, the door is sealed, and someone pulls a lever. The feeling starts to build up again-- a tension of sorts. It precedes fairly predictably and similarly to how it did before.

Peter isn't able to pay as much attention because a dark-skinned man walks up to him.

Man: "Kid! I'm Kumar Pooran. I'm in charge of getting you taken care of once we get to the Hub. Its kind of like an airport. You can go anywhere from there, but only with the right ticket. I'm going to be taking you to an office there that keeps track of obscure worlds, and we'll see if we can get you home."

Peter will assist in unloading the conveyor, or assisting those who might need a hand.

"Hello Kumar! I guess you know that I'm Peter, and this is Goliath. Boy are we glad to meet you!"
