I use something like that at work (where I must work on a PC; working on a Mac from home). Not sure what the best of all options is, but I just picked the first or second result from googling "word 2007 save as pdf."

I'm working with Word 2003 -- unfortunately, open office doesn't play well with word files that have a lot of text boxes and tables...or, well, it never has in my experience. Word processors can be tricky creatures.

I'll check into Cute PDF, though.

Seconding the recommendation of Cute PDF - it'll turn anything that can be printed into a PDF file.
