Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
No, the wheat is too young. She might be able to make it down the ditch made by the stream though...

She'll give that a try then, keeping her eyes and ears open as she progresses carefully. (If she can make it to a barn or other outbuilding, she'll conceal the film and other material there; otherwise if she hears someone coming, she'll hide it if she has time and drop it if she doesn't.)

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
She makes it most of the way down the ditch before a dirty little child drops down next to her. The girl is about 6 years old. "What you doing?"
The child has something of a British accent.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
Her heart melts at the sight of the waif. Her own condition becomes secondary for the moment as she runs a diagnostician's eye over the child.
"I'm in a spot of trouble," Chandra acknowledges in her native English accent, kneeling down to meet the girl on her level."But then, it looks like you might be as well. Having a bit of fun in the dirt, were we?" (Diagnosis: Anything obviously wrong with the child beyond filthy? And she will try to use Diplomacy to win the girl's trust. If it comes down to reaction bonuses: +1 for Attractive, +1 for Charisma, and whatever bonus you think appropriate for the child to be hearing an adult speak "real English.")

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
The girl appears fine. Just a child playing in the dirt. Or mud, as it appears here. She's cheerful and a little curious.
"Mommy said to go play outside. But no one else is playing right now. Except for you. Your skin is dark. Can I touch it?"

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
"If you like ... and if you're careful," she says, offering a hand for the child to reach with her fingers.
"I'm Chandra," she tells the girl after giving her a moment or two to feel the hand and make sure it's real. "What's your name, dear?"

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
"Thank you, Sarah. Yours is pretty as well. If it's easier, you can call me Sandra or Sandy. Some girls did when I was in school; it's all right. Or perhaps Miss Morgan, if you would prefer."
It feels odd to have such a normal conversation under the circumstances, she reflects. "Sarah, would you be able to find me some clothing? I don't normally go undressed like this, but I lost my own. I would be very embarrassed if an adult found me like this."

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
It takes some coaching, but Sarah goes out and grabs some clothing -- in this specific case, a dress for a much larger woman than Chandra. Its a simple dress made out of plain cloth. And is missing the petticoat. but its something.

Re: [IC] Lost in Dreams (Chandra)
"Thank you very much, Sarah," Chandra says as she clambers into the dress, cinching it as best she can. "What do your parents do? Is your home very far from here? Is this your mother's dress, or another relative's?"
She's going to try to prompt Sarah to tell her as much about her village/town as she can, while keeping the dress decent. (Would a Housekeeping roll help here?)
