I would love to see Martial Arts in print again - I and my players could use more copies. But I'm not sure I'd back the Kickstarter if only because I'd be paying for royalties potential, which seems kind of odd.

I'd settle for a kickstarter of an iOS char sheet.

Actually, reprinting existing books would be great stretch goals and add ons but I suspect they cost too much to work as rewards that add to the $100 buy -in sweet spot. However .pdfs of the books that get reprinted might be good rewards.

Even so, I'd suggest a lower initial goal and new product as the launch point. And as someone from SJG mentioned somewhere there aren't enough GURPS fans left. Fourth edition has pretty much seen to that, so lets start the thing with an introductory boxed set.

The initial booklets are Characters and Campaigns but ideally we want a Fantasy, Space Opera, and Modern Booklet in there too. Why a boxed set? Because they're more approachable. We want the box under $50. We're in the age of the big box board game and we want to contend with that. We'll put our initial goal at $15000. Now we want our existing GURPS fans to buy into this so I think we want to stuff that box with goodies.

I think double-sided battle maps might be the way to do that. I'd like to hear opinions on it though. Cardboard tiles cost more but a buildable tile system along the lines of Ogre's miniatures might be cool at the higher end.

So here's my pitch. Bear in mind this will be 100% 4e Compliant and largely use existing text. My problem with 4e is that it's impenetrably dense for new users.

Initial Goal: GURPS BASIC BOXED SET $15000
Includes Characters, Campaigns, and Expanded Caravan to Ein Arris setting material.

Incremental $5000 rewards
Fantasy Booklet
Fantasy Poster Map
Space Booklet
Space Poster Map
Modern Booklet
Modern Poster Map
Supers Booklet
Supers Poster Map

Stretch Goal $50000 GURPS Vehicle Design or Something new and Major

I don't know about Cardboard Heroes, Personally I'd go with a tube or bag of 1/35 toy soldiers every $50000 but I'm well aware that's probably just me.

Incremental $20000 rewards
Full Color Hard Back Reprints

$100000 Text Size Increased to 12 point.
