Thursday is GURPS day!

In "Tactical Shooting/Martial Arts: John Wick" I look in detail at a scene of that film. We had discussed this before, but I have since watched the entire film again and looked closer at the scene and what's happening.

Cheers

Love these write ups.
Its pretty cool that you can describe a movie scene so well in GURPS terms.
But I laughed and thought it even cooler that you suggested an erratum to your book based on a movie.
How many game systems allow that much detail?

Thanks! The erratum should have come up earlier, really, because obviously you need to connect with the gun in order for the gun to suffer a malfunction like this. I didn't explain that clearly in the book and nobody else noticed ;) I only realised the rule was unclear when I went back to the book for this scene.

Cheers

Do these writeups have lots of Harsh Realism in them? I noticed that there was an Off-Hand penalty for a Judo attack, which isn't the case in the Basic Set.

Yes. Harsh Realism is my go-to condition, both in Tactical Shooting (p. 32) and Martial Arts (p. 124). Regarding the unarmed attacks, my personal experience with Judo, Taekwondo, and Krav Maga is that your off hand most definitely is at a penalty. Yes, you can train that away (although if completely I don't know), but it should be the starting condition.

Cheers

Thursday is GURPS day!

Today's post is "Ultra-Tech: Shadowrun", in which I go down memory lane, depicting a selection of Shadowrun guns (with GURPS stats) from a long-gone campaign I played 25 years ago.

Cheers

HANS, this is a thing of beauty. Can we get more stuff like this? Seriously. I loved it. PDF printed it and saved it to my desktop.

Thanks! I might still have some more old drawings, but frankly this isn't something I still do . . .

Cheers

Gangster Gats: Dillinger-Nelson Gang is the first of a series of articles examining the guns used by the gangsters of the 1920s and 1930s, perfect with GURPS Cliffhangers and High-Tech: Pulp Guns 1+2.

Cheers
