Default UK buyers storage solution

Hi folks

Following up on an earlier post showing what looked like a good storage solution available in the US I found an almost identical item on sale at B&Q here in the UK. Priced at £8.92 – very reasonable.

The internal dimensions of the inserts were not given so I took a risk and got one. It is a perfect fit for Car Wars 6E bits. I can’t show them fitting in because I’ll not be getting mine for a while yet but the measurements are (LxWxD) …
Large insert (8 of) : 105x75x45 mm - takes cards, would even take cars but I’m not risking mine in them once I’ve painted them
Medium insert (4 of) : 76x51x45 mm – takes cards/dice
Small insert (8 of) : 51x36x45 mm – too small for cards but ideal for tokens or dice
Overall case size 420x335x57 mm
I have tried Munchkin Treasure Hunt cards unsleeved, soft sleeved & premium sleeved and they all fit fine. I’d estimate that you’d get 300+ unsleeved cards in the large inserts, maybe even the 330 build cards of each colour, but it might be a bit of a tight fit. Even in premium sleeves, two large would easily take all the cards and they might just go into a large & a medium.
They also do a smaller version with 3 large inserts and 6 small ones (scroll down the page at the link to see that). This costs £6 – not as good value as the big one but I got one of those too, for another use.
Both are fairly robust and fit well. Ignore the comments about bits spilling out because the lid doesn’t fit properly, mine fits well and I doubt anything in the way of game components is likely to ‘leak’ from one insert to another in practical use.
