Also, don't obsess too much about stats and advantages for monsters or NPCs. It's not a productive use of your time, because you won't be using all of that stuff during your game. You'll need their relevant attack rolls, primary and secondary attributes, and quick notes about special abilities they might have. If you look at Creatures of the Night, that's about the level of detail you need for a monster you could build a whole adventure around.

No. It's far too much work, and is very rarely useful. NPCs who aren't going to be in fights similarly only need to be detailed enough for the kinds of interaction they're going to do. Many people produce complete character sheets for major NPCs who will be around a lot, but I'm an inveterate improviser, and rarely bother.

good point. I think the only NPC non-boss who's getting a writeup is Solare who is the only NPC who assists, talks with, and eventually fights, the player.
I like the fact that he's an extremely adept fighter, but also a benevolent maniac. |
