Wouldn't it be nice to have some big full page splash pages for each chapter?

That stirs a painful memory. Once, long ago, I bought a nice shrink-wrapped book called Bureau 13 mainly because it was illustrated by Phil Foglio. Except it wasn't -- it was just the cover. :-(

The interior illustrations could have been worse (they would have been decent enough for amateur illustrators in fanzines), and it wasn't a bad book -- the text was definitely better than the illustrations -- but a major letdown when first opened.

Hans
I bought that book for its cover too. Bureau 13 wasn't a bad book the rules were a bit much but the world was fun.

Yeah, but then they did a GURPS Discworld Also for that series. I think GG is worth a book and a sequel. I'd settle for just a book though.

Is the 'designated hitter' mentioned before still on board for the project? Did his day job consume him? Will a cat land on its feet when a piece of buttered toast is strapped to its back, butter side up?

The very latest? I can say that I just exchanged email with a certain person involved in the project regarding a certain key aspect of the book, less than six hours ago. Current enough for ya? :)
