Weapon Master Broadsword?
If a character wants to be a weapon master with a Bastard Sword, do they need to buy the 2 weapon version of WM (Broadsword and 2-Handed Sword) to get benefits to use it both one and two handed?

Re: Weapon Master Broadsword?
No, Weapon master is by weapon, not by skill. So you only need the one weapon version.

No, Weapon Master (Bastard Sword) would cover all skills used with a Bastard Sword.

Re: Weapon Master Broadsword?
OTOH, Weapon Master (Bastard Sword) is only good for Bastard Swords; you'd get no bonuses for either Two-Handed Swords or Broadswords. You'd need to take something like Weapon Master (Swords) to be able to run the full gamut of swords, which would cost proportionally more.

Re: Weapon Master Broadsword?
I guess I have been doing this incorrectly for some time. I would take WM: Axe/Mace (1 skill) and thought that the character would be able to get all bonuses with anything used with that skill. This would be 20 points.
It seems that I should be taking WM: Axe or WM: Mace or WM: Pick for 20 points. and i only get the benefits with that one weapon. Does that mean that WM: (Axe/Mace) is 30 points since it covers a "class" of weapons?

Re: Weapon Master Broadsword?
I'd say that "all one-handed axes and maces" are a reasonable small class, yes, since I'd consider "all axes and maces" a medium class.

Side question: Does the class "all axes and maces" include baseball bats?

Re: Weapon Master Broadsword?
He said "all axes and maces" not "two handed axes and maces" :D I would say it definitely fits in the category of "All axes and maces, regardless of hands used".

Re: Weapon Master Broadsword?
except the one handed version of the attack does not use an axe or mace skill, but Broadsword (p.271).
