Default Triceratops?

After looking at the triceratops on the front of Characters book, I wonder why stats for dinosaurs of any sort weren't included. Does anyone here have any dinosaur stats they'd like to share?

You will find all the 4e dinosaur stats you can shake a stick at in GURPS Lands out of Time.

And if that's not enough, you can find an OOP copy of GURPS Dinosaurs, and see how they got adapted to 4e. Use that to convert the remainder! :)

I don't have Lands Out of Time, but I'd like to know if anyone who has a fair bit of current knowledge about the species depicted could comment on how accurate it is?

The free preview includes the text box: "On The General Lack of History or Science" that explains what this supplement does vis a vis historicity.

As for GURPS Dinosaurs, it had the approval of The Dinosaur Society and noted dinosaur scholar Jack Horner wrote a forward for the book.

Given how much dinosaur information is extrapolation from fossils anyway, the question is how well it works for your game not how accurate the science is.

I'm talking about pretty simple things, though, like the Size Modifiers.

"Raptors" at this link http://panoptesv.com/RPGs/animalia/d...meosaurid.html

Allosaurids at this link http://panoptesv.com/RPGs/animalia/d...llosaurid.html

Triceratops would probably be something like
ST 45
DX 10
IQ 2
HT 11
Weight 6 tons
Basic Speed 5.25
Basic Move 5
DR 5 (DR 20 head only)
Advantages: Hard to Kill 2; Hard to Subdue 2; Discriminatory Smell; Peripheral Vision; Striker (horns; impaling); Temperature Tolerance 1 (heat)
Disadvantages: Bad Sight 4 (Motion Sensitive); Bad Temper (12-); Low Empathy; No Fine Manipulators; Reduced Endurance 1; Restricted Diet (herbivore); Short Lifespan 1; Wild Animal
Features: Tail; Quills
Skills: Brawling - 12; Intimidation - 10; Survival - 12; Wrestling - 12

Note that Bad Sight (motion sensitive) is described here: http://www.panoptesv.com/RPGs/Ads-n%...ive-sight.html
and Reduced Endurance here: http://www.panoptesv.com/RPGs/Ads-n%...Endurance.html
both are useful for describing typical animal traits.

Luke

I think they'd have some additional "Skull Only" DR too. Otherwise, yes, this is a very nice write-up IMHO.
