On Sunday, I caught a bad cold with fever and a bad case of swollen tonsils, but by the glory of KROMM, I AM WHOLE AGAIN!

My complaints are enduring and unlikely to result from a short term infestation, although I am but a humble layman and base this on nothing more than a guess. My own doctor, mighty in the eyes of no particular committee, has diagnosed my with chronic gastric acid reflux, due to some genetic quirk or another, and mandated a steady course of antacid therapy. I have found that stronger antacids of various sorts merely inflamme my troubled innards and so stick to the relatively weak concoction of which I partook this morning.

Any cure which prevented me from imbibing the Holy Waters would of course not be considered. Unless it is a clear choice between death and dryness, I shall not relent. ;)

Without question, without fail. This is proved by the fact that HE will accept the usage of all cultural references to praise HIM.

Though it is correct, since HE is truly That Great.

And praise him for having inspired my dearest to return early and spare me the necessity of getting up at 4:00 am
tomorrow to pick her up at the airport. After the miraculous healing of our brother elShoggotho this shows how he watches over and cares for us berliners from so far away. Thanks and ever more Praise !

Glorious infestation indeed, if it hastens my journey to KROMM's side! ;)

In the case of my father and sister (as well as other, less related, members of my family), the diagnosis is most scientific, being arrived at after trials untold and of vaguely disturbing nature.

Due to that same disturbing nature of the scientific tests involved, I have elected to remain unscientifically diagnosed. This is because I, even though I am mighty in the eyes of no committee, consider it likely enough that the same symptoms in multiple members of one family herald the same genetic flaw. I could be wrong, of course, but finding that out would entail instruments of a most distressing nature being inserted where nature intended no insertions.

Hence, conscience doth make cowards of us all.

Not at all, but as far as I know, a flaw in my LES is the cause of my reflux, not excess acid per se.

A lifetime of occasional pain and inconvenience is small price to pay indeed for KROMM's libations! ;)

While I am sure that HE would enjoy your coming over to visit, I am also sure that HE would not want you to die early in order to do that, nor to stay permanently.
