Okay, that last sentence is pretty funny...

but the above is hilarious. I'm chuckling out loud as I type this, imagining G&AI with a fresh, yummy muffin suggesting virtuous behavior and a stale, manky muffin advocating vice and evil. It's a funny old world that occasionally demands that we consider what qualities we would find persuasive in muffins.

But yes; almost immediately after I wrote the post about a Feature, I decided you were right, and that individual, as opposed to species, tastiness should be represented by Appearance.

this is getting disturbing. first there is a thread involving Essential Beer and Essential Cheese, then a thread discussing the weapon stats of a cast-iron skillet. now we have a thread devoted to creating a blueberry muffin as a PC.

the next thing you know somebody is going to stat up a blueberry muffin mage who specializes in the Cheese college and fights with a skillet.

the guys on the "I hate GURPS" forums must be howling with laughter.

That laughter is sham laughter. It hides their jealousy that THEIR systems of choice can't do justice to the concept of a living Blueberry Muffine who casts cheesey magic and is an expert with a skillet in combat.

Bah! It's funny, and OT. It's GURPS related. This is the kind of thing that makes GURPS great!

Eh. Let them. Why should we care what they think?

Hmm, I'll have to see if I have a muffin model . . . maybe render an evil telekinetic muffin mastermind.

And not only can we Universally model muffin PCs, we can have fun doing it. Heck, some of those other systems aren't fun even when played as intended.

That calls out for a bonded weapon perk: this be the skillet what cooked me.

Yeah, I thought a blurberry was going to be some kind of berry with the following D&D spell permanently cast on it:

Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

The subject’s outline appears blurred, shifting and wavering. This distortion grants the subject concealment (20% miss chance).

A see invisibility spell does not counteract the blur effect, but a true seeing spell does.

Opponents that cannot see the subject ignore the spell’s effect (though fighting an unseen opponent carries penalties of its own).
A muffin made from said berry would be be a Blurberry Muffin and likely have the same spell-like ability.

A Blurberry muffin would probably be very pricey... and wrapped in gabardine.

Lens: Blurberry (+95 points)
Advantages: DB +3 (90); Fashion Sense (5).

A stylish, magically-blurred muffin.
