(IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]

Peter senses no connection as he reaches out and touches Anil. There is nothing to connect to except for the smoke...

• Anil spins and runs towards the horses.
• The Red Demon stands with the pistol
• The Green Demon follows Anil, grasping for him but not reaching him... yet
• The Snake Demon's attack misses (wow that was a bad roll)
• The Eight foot tall Elephant Demon swings an enormous fist at Peter. Another parry roll is needed to avoid damage.

Peter bounds back away from the blow (Retreating dodge - 11) (Roll 3+3+5=11 - On the button!), he snatches up the bow and runs to follow Anil. Peter hopes "insector" is getting close, and thinks to the creation a command to let out a scream, to hopefully distract the monsters in the circle while they make their escape. He hopes that Goliath is okay, Peter's awareness of the danger he is in makes him worry for his friend, he's not sure where the great dog has gotten off to.

Make a DX roll to pick up the bow without slowing down. If you fail tell if you will stop and spend a second to pick it up or if you will leave it.

A barking ball of fire emerges from the woods, dashing in towards the demons. Peter's not sure when Goliath snuck off, but his appearance makes the demons turn for just long enough to give the boys a safe head start.

If you meant "Fur" then Peter snatches up the bow and gives chase to Anil and says "good boy Goliath! .... Anil, I think we need that funky rock!"



And if that was not a typo, Peter abandons the bow and rushes straight for Goliath and whips off his shirt and tries to smother the flames, monsters be damned.

And then, "C'mon boy!"

He sends a mental instruction to 'Insector' to update their position if it's still far out enough that it needs to change course to best intercept their pursuers.

The two boys run as fast as they can towards the horses.

Goliath wheels away from the demons, then wheels back in for another ferocious barking charge.

Insector is still coming.

How will Peter be getting onto his horse? Will he be attempting a quick mount, or will he be stopping to get up? or will he be running into the woods deeper first and hoping the horse follows and the demons eventually get hung up on some obstacle?

Peter will mount the horse normally, as a quick-mount attempt will most likely leave him on the ground...

Peter takes longer to mount his horse than Anil, allowing the demons to close the gap... but the horse starts moving with Peter only most the way up, carrying him away from the Demons... Make a Riding check at +4 to hang on.

Peter slips trying to get on the steed and tries again to scramble up on the horse if it hasn't run off... if it has, he just starts running after it.
