Wizard D10

Hey, awesome that you guys have this forum.

I got in a pretty heated argument because of the Wizard D10 rule, of doubling a "Magic" item, with a Potion of Strength. I saw that it was a "Magic" item with a combat bonus of plus five so I threw it at the monster and then doubled it with my D10 for the win. This was unacceptable for my friend, because I won I assume, but he wanted me to double check on here, so I am. His issue was that it doesn't say "Bonus +5" at the top of the card like gear does so he doesn't think I should have been able to do that.

Since it says a magic item you use I would say no, since it´s not being used in you. But let me check more onto that.

It's an Item, it has the Magic keyword, and he used it, so I'm not sure why that would be a "no." Regardless, I'm officially saying that it's a valid play.
