Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
That's not currently under consideration. Those are pricey to create; it would be a lot more likely that we run a future project to create a box of Cardboard Heroes in which we print all of the older counters in the same format as found in the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game box set.

I'm focusing on the critters that don't have a close equivalent in other RPGs; you can find plenty of orcs and bandits, not so many Watchers At The End Of Time or Void Brutes.

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
Is it just me that’s going “most monsters in DFRPG Monsters have no art, why is this a big deal now?”

I'm with you in a sense. I was fine without art, but don't mind having it either.

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
Your partners are right. I think one of the issues with Monsters was not only the paucity of art, but the art that was there didn’t add much. Dragons, giant rats, scorpion swarms, and zombies are all so common in RPGs or so obvious to anyone from popular culture that you can ditch the art when space is scarce, but others like the watcher at the edge of time could use some artwork (which was in DFM1) to convey how this thing looks.

Re: The Future of the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game?
Yeah, monster manuals need to have pictures.
Otherwise, it could all be a hoax!
