In a system where characters die so easily adding logical effects like knockdown=stun means even though our characters might benefit from the rule the effect applied on us is terrifying.
Why couldn't this "stun" rule be a talent? "Heavy Blow" (1) any time you knockdown your opponent in combat follow the stun rules.... Shield rush? (Possible add on or 2nd level talent?) This way certain builds have the option of earning this combat effect. Yes, enemy NPC could use it against us but as a talent it becomes less likely to occur and thus not a standard result of getting your #!@% handed to you. I also think the ST roll is most appropriate. |

It’s somewhat less terrifying if you hold with David’s thinking that the proposed rule weakens knockdown a bit.
