Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Haley: "Its not a bother" She heals V wounds with magic (1 casting of Minor healing on him, so that spell will be at -3 if cast on him again today. You're only missing 4, right?)
Looking around for an entrance, you find a set of wide double doors in a hill. Inside is a 3 yard by 7 yard room, with a row of six skulls carefully set on the floor. As you enter, the first skull says "Who goes there?", and turns to look at you.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
The Skull says: "Proceed. Watch your step."
(And I was a dunce who didn't mention there was a door at the end of the room).

Vassarious smiles at the simple subterfuge and proceeds to the door.

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Haley pulls out a glowing rock and fastens it to a slot in her helmet. puts a similar glowing rock on the end of his staff. They head into the darkness behind the door.
Behind the door is a A 10 by 10 yard room flooded with 2 feet of standing water (Bad footing if you fight in it), and a ceiling 15 feet above that. Two stone pillars, 4 yards apart from each other and three yards apart from each other, running north-south, are in the center of the room. They are smooth and end 8 feet above the surface of the water. At each corner of the room is a set of stairs that descends 4 feet, then immediately turns a corner. Arlon walks up to the top of one of the pillars (on air) and announces there is nothing there... but that there was once a dwarven book. Haley explains the dwarves make their books of metal... ideal for surviving this room. You entered from the west, heading east.. which way to go next?

Unless there's a difference between the two pillars, I say either of the eastern stairs will do. |

Re: Corco's Villa (IC)
Vassarious shifts... Dropping Immunity to metabolic hazards down to Resistant, and add Sure footed, amphibious and gills to compensate for the environment.
Vassarious pulls back the air walker.. "Let us disturb the surface before heading in headlong." Once they are out of the room Vassarious throws some skiriken in the water for a bit of "fishing" before entering the chamber. If that doesn't produce an effect, they will proceed. |
