Vassarious takes a step back increasing the require move to put them in reach to two yards, and throws a double fistload of shuriken at the legs of the charging opponent.

3d6 <= 18
1: 2 + 5 + 1 = 8 ... success
2: 4 + 4 + 2 = 10 ... success

All hit if not defended against.

Damage 4d cutting

3d6
1: 2 + 2 + 5 = 9
2: 1 + 1 + 4 = 6
3: 2 + 2 + 6 = 10
4: 3 + 6 + 6 = 15
5: 5 + 3 + 3 = 11
6: 1 + 4 + 2 = 7

Looks likes its also in basic. And its got armor divisor (3) and pi-, which is what I needed to know. So the guy takes 13 damage, and the orb shatters to pieces (armor divisor is really effective against small brittle objects). The guy with the orb stays up.

He dodges 1... it would have been three without the -1 for all at the same target rule.

With 15 HP, three of the attacks are crippling/major wounds (though beserk makes that irrelevant), crippling the legs. He dies (crit failed his HT roll). Which is convenient for me because being able to reduce someone to -5xHP via hitting their legs with shuriken isn't something I want to adjudicate.

The guy who previously had the orb braces himself. The swarm moves towards him at its top speed: it will reach him in two more turns.

The Elf pulls back the bow.

Haley and Arlon are still getting to the fight.

Your allies are still getting out of the woods.

The elf take a LOT of damage to the right arm. Its crippled. slowed by his wound, a gaus bullet strikes him for 13 damage. He dies.

Vassarious throws out his right blade hand. Its flipped inside out in a most inhuman fashion. He will need to take two ready maneuvers before he can use it again.



The swarm of things continues to move towards the guy with the orb, who is taking all out defense. One more round and it will reach him.

Well, given the orb usually controls the swarm, I guess the swarm is charging towards him now?

I demand his surrender, "Your friends are dead and your orb is shattered! Give it up and we'll save you from your bugs!"

Hitting a swarm is automatic... 3d6 damage is 8 this time.

There are four hexes in a sort of nike swoosh. what shape of attack is V using?

And a general reminder on the swarm stats:

They do 2 toxic damage to living things, resisted with Will -3. The swarm is composed of what look like eyeless, mouthless, featureless dark gray fish about 4 inches long each. They block sight through the hex they are in.

Schooling swarms are normally controlled through an orb: if not controlled this way they just kind of mill around like normal fish. With the way the swarm is changing its position, its probably being controlled. There are four hexes worth of swarm. They are currently about 200 yards away.

And yes, they seem to have some residual command they're following even after the orb is gone.

Vassarious was using the cone, so hopefully they can get most or all the hexes in the cone. If Halcyone has the ammo, it sounds like they can take them out long before they get to us with rapid fire. My cone is 3d with a 5 minute recharge. I forgot about the recharge. That's bad. Vassarious must be a baby dragon. So Vassarious will start throwing shuriken as soon as the swarm comes in range..

So if he can get them all in the cone, each hex will need 12 more damage to disperse, which is exactly what a DWA rof 3 Shuriken cutting attack delivers
