Thaumatology also considers it as one college.

Technology only appears a handful of places in Thaumatology once in the “Skills to Salvage Critical Failures” box (and Engineer works quite well as a stabilizing skill for Machines, Power, and Materials; it's only awkward when it comes to Radiation) and again in the Astrological Modifiers, which was largely lifted directly out of GURPS Cabal with little in the way of modification.

And again, as a practical matter it's too wide-ranging for it to be a good idea to treat it like a to single college.

It is mentioned as a single college for the Decans and the Bagua.

It looks to me like you're saying 'the books say X,' and dataweaver has acknowledged that and then pointed out why that doesn't matter in this context. Twice.

To clarify, this thread isn't about individual Mages who's personal names match their colleges. It's about what to call a practitioner of a particular college. The equivalent of engineer or mechanic or driver.

And mageia ("-magy") is magic.

Necromagy is an interesting word. Would someone who practiced necromagy be a necromage then? Or would they more properly be a necromagi?

As long as they don’t get mistaken for a necrophage.

More seriously, magi is the plural form of magus
