Talents You Let Wizards Learn at Normal Cost
For game balance, TFT requires wizards to pay more for most talents than heroes do. This can be a disincentive for building characters who are similar to some of the wizard types we might be familiar with from fiction, such as the scholar-wizard. Which talents do you routinely let wizards learn at normal cost instead of double? Check all that apply.

Re: Talents You Let Wizards Learn at Normal Cost
This is why I use the GM controlled "Career" limitation.
A Hero can switch and choose his talents freely, while a Wizard has to stick to his one mundane career, but there is no actual limitation. So that means that any archetype wizard is possible because archetypes usually only mean one career. But if you are to allow for generalized archetypes and the talents that go with them you either have to have a very limited number of archetypes and only one talent per archetype, or you will get a huge number of wizardly talents where players can mix and match. Since almost all talents can be motivated as part of some wizardly archetype. Last edited by Nils_Lindeberg; 01-10-2020 at 01:16 PM. |

Re: Talents You Let Wizards Learn at Normal Cost
All, because I make wizards take a house-ruled Wizardry Talent that costs 5 points to become a wizard in the first place.
