Re: (IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]
Peter will scan through the book and see if there is any insight on their magic, or if anything jumps out at him.
He will look to identify if there are gods of "Goodness", "Justice", "Freedom" or anything along those lines. When "lights-out" time comes, he will meditate for a while using the method he learned for strengthening his Karana endurance before trying to dream of Goliath, hoping it might bring them together, but if not, maybe he can see how he's doing. |

"Justice" is claimed by a huge number of deities, many of which seem to be local, and have a wide variety of domains, from food to trade to violence to Growing up. sometimes it seems Justice is claimed by any God who wants to boast of their power. "Freedom" is an odd concept to translate. There are patrons of freed slaves, of wanderers, of political independence for city states, and of those seeking to through off financial or legal burdens. Peter sees the dog pouncing on a rat in an alley. Then the beast finds a corner and goes to sleep.

Re: (IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]
'Good boy, I'm glad you found gross dinner' Peter thinks.
He spends a little more time checking out the patron of the freed slaves, but then moves on and spends more time on the god of wanderers. He will look for a god of dreams and if he finds it, he will study that one closely. Otherwise, he spends most of his time with the book with the god of wanderers. When the guards come around, Peter asks if he can have some incense. Can't hurt to ask! When he takes breaks from his reading, he will check out what the other prisoners are working on and try to make some conversation about their work, or the cogs hanging in the sky, and whatever they know about the crazy robots they have here... or anything they want to talk about. |

Re: (IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]
He finds out just basic information from the book: its an index, not an encyclopedia.
He has the sigil of the wander. They are famous for walking the roads on the continent south of here, but the wander can obviously show up most anywhere, and has many "favorite" spots around the world. The wanderer is the son of zin-sel, goddess of the moon and of change. He has no notable divine servitors. His domains include hospitality, tests of generosity, trickery, trade, negotiation, and fish. That's about all that the book gives on Tragum the wanderer. There are around five dream deities. Ajta-Zel was goddess of secrets and the planet venus, and apparently this includes dreams. Two of her children are much more associated with dreams. Kal-Mor is the god of omens, including nightmares and portentious dreams. Jal-Kusa is the goddess of lost memories, a large part of which is dreams. Nal-kok is a local mountain god who always works his miracles while people are asleep in his mountains. He lives around 1500 miles away. Finally, Til-mok, the messenger of Arn-Oda the sky god and king of the gods, often visits people in their dreams. Peter asks the jailor for some incense, and the man says he will pass on the request, and then asks what blend and what it is needed for. The men are quite happy to talk. They all go quiet when he says "Cogs in the sky". Dr. Goslin: "That's what's wrong with their sky?!" Dr. Caldwell: "They'd made references to the sky, but... you're sure? the sky is made of gears and cogs? I know they have references to the sun and moon and planets..."

Re: (IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]
Peter indicates that for the incense, whatever is best suited to Kal-Mor or Tragum the wanderer. He is also interested in books on them if that's possible. He lets them know he's trying to get a feel for "his god" as Tuvo Kyridas suggested.
In talking to the other inmates: "Yeah, have you guys not seen the sky? This place is cray-cray!" He tells them all about the strange sky and answers any questions they have. |

The jailer looks confused, but will say that he'll do what he can. Quote:
Mr. Cardin: "They captured us in the dead of night. I never noticed anything about the sky. That's... bizarre. It must be new thing. all the books indicate otherwise" Dr. Caldwell: "They didn't bring it up either... I wonder why. And what could have happened." Dr. Goslin: "Describe everything you've seen so far*. I want to know what other details we've missed. Their position may not be as strong as they have presented." *not actually expecting you to do that in play... in the late morning (they were given a single watch for the lot of them to use), the guards come to fetch Peter for an "Audience". He hasn't got any of his requested items yet.

Peter describes anything he's seen here that seems out of the ordinary.
He goes along cooperatively to his "Audience". |

Re: (IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]
He doesn't leave the building.
Tuvo Kyridas is there, along with a few guards, and what looks like a stack of books, some incense, a burner, and some slate boards and chalk. Kyridas: "So how are you finding the americans? Fun bunch, aren't they?" After that answer: Kyridas: "And how do you find the city of Thuroma?" And after that answer, Kyridas hands Peter a slate board and chalk. "Give me your sigil"

Do you mean the glimpses I saw through the slits in my cage on the way to my windowless cell? I saw some stone walls and some starving people. "I don't have a sigil... do you want me to make something up?" |
