Peter will request the letter.

They all seem to be anxious to get going. The think a late start in the morning might be ok though. The plan is to sleep on real beds tonight though.

If it seems there will be time, Peter will squeeze in another meeting with Brother Gregory before heading out with the group.

Got a recommendation? Aura requires detect magic which requires Magery. I guess seek plant to help him find his incense components is probably most practical.

Detect Magic he functionally has. And Magery as well. He can go for Aura if you want. Or seek Plant, if you prefer.

The item is a wax seal... its the same spell that was on the letter before.

I also envisioned it only applying to the casters eyes. I think it still is, just based on how much of the information the aura gives is only available to the caster. We can certainly say that's how this version works.

You don't want the home version? just kidding. I'm surprised it is magery 1. That means effective skill is 8. Peter burns through his energy fairly quickly, and only succeeds at casting the spell four out of the ten times he casts it.

Gregory comments about how slowly his energy comes back... "you need to practice that"

(Recover energy here is a 5 point advantage that doubles energy return from mystic uses, kind of like the other half of fit... you may buy it when you have the points for it)

They are in good spirits, and laugh as they journey northward. Rajat got a bow as well as a sword, and Ann and Leon have weapons as well. Leon drills everyone just a little in the evening... they're still sleeping off-road.

If Peter tells the other about the tracking seal, Rajat will say to break it. Leon will say to keep it for now, as it could be useful to trick Incarius.

That night, Peter dreams of the people from the island who arrived with him. They're gathered in a village, crowded into little huts, as the rain pours down. They look very dirty, but they seem to have lots and lots of wood to burn... almost a conspicuous amount.

"Can you explain how? I kinda try to do that already. I have this smoke puff trick that uses all my juice, and I concentrate on 'the pattern' to kind of make my magic stronger. Maybe you have some advice to make it better?"

Peter will describe his (most) nightly meditations and exercises and the patterns he uses, combining the Karana patterns with the extrapolations he's made from exposure to other kinds of magic.

Their spirits are down, though that might just be the rain. There are no other refugees, but there are a few locals... though the locals seem to be visiting, supervising, and making deliveries, not living among them.

Rajat gets him a bow (but has him keep the sword). The group is quite happy to be armed, and enthusiastic that Peter actually knows how to use his bow.

They're probably going to end up as poor villagers, but they don't seem to be in a state of conflict.
