(IC) Lost In Dreams [Peter]

used luck: the effective roll is a 9. The first spell connects with many minds in an area for a brief moment looking for something small: the second spell connects with a single mind for a long time. It doesn't have orders passing through it though, just information.

So maybe they're looking for something and reporting back...

Not much to go on and these guys seem to be sketchy, with the riding about in the night and would likely not take kindly if he approached asking questions. Seems like a lot could go wrong and there's no motivation to investigate.

Peter decides it's best to just return to his bunk.

Peter continues to feel the spells being cast.



Then the first spell is cast right outside of their building.

With his companions as backup close by, he will investigate further... He goes to the door with Goliath by his side.

"What are you guys doing? Late night scavenger hunt?"

So is he waking them up or letting them sleep?


"We are of the Chaplaincy of St. Andrew. We are investigating this village for treason and witchcraft. Stand down, and tell me everything you know of secretive behavior in this village."

He will wake the one in charge and let him know what se sensed before.

If they don't stop him (negating the last post) he continues the exchange...

"I only got to town today... I'm afraid I can't help you."

None of the three are "In Charge", per se. Rajat is in charge of security. He wakes Leon, who is a better negotiator than he is*, and then they wake up Ann.



* I don't know if I've explained the roles, but Rajat is the security expert, Leon is the contact and local management expert, and Ann is a parachronic engineer.


They let him challenge the men from the "Chaplaincy".



"And you decided to stop in the only village around that does speak Anglish? Unlikely! Where are you from?"

"I'm just passing through on my way home. I'm headed to Tedroy."

"That still doesn't explain why you are here, in this particular village."


His voice is low.



"I will check your story. Tie up your dog."

Peter will cooperate...

"Huh? You didn't ask that, but it was on the way... Do what you need to do then."
