Elf helper levelling up

Hello everybody!

I couldn't find answer to this question, so here am I.

If I, as an elf, help some player to win a combat against more than one monster (or against some monster that gives 2 levels), do I get the same number of levels that player gets?
Or I level up only 1 level per combat?

An Elf helper receives one level per monster killed.
