Anoras: "Thank you, Kethwick. You've been a big help. Could you ask around and see if anyone knows if Rhiannon and Branwen are here? And of course let people know we are here. After that, let us know what you learned?"

"Fenian, I'll argue with you later. Meanwhile, I agree with you; I have wounded to attend to."

"Cassandra, Thad, and Fenian, if you could ask around and find out who's the most badly injured, I can get to work. I don't think any of you have medical training, but if you do, I could use your help. Then we can investigate this mystery and track these evil-doers."

Anoras starts quickly heading for where the wounded likely are.

(NOTE: I'm going by the assumption that in a medical emergency, people generally go by what the medical person says. As far as I know, most societies work that way. If it's not that way here, GM let me know!)

Cassandra blinks "Oh? Uh. Sure"

She goes and looks, but, she really has no idea what she is doing, so likely doesn't accomplish much

"I'll check the perimeter, and make sure the foes are gone. If anyone needs help, I'll do what I can."

Thad hurries into the village to assess any current threat.

Anoras (Speaking to Thad as they both hurry in): "With a magical attack like this, I doubt there's any attackers still here. But you're right, Thad; it's a good idea for you to check and be sure."

Anoras hoped her father, Mileno, was not among the wounded. Anoras did not want to lose her father like she had lost her mother Hei. Who knew what her younger sister Eleevi was doing, since she got married and moved away.

Fenian ran across the five-log wide bridge and down the far bank of the creek to where it ran into swamp. As his mother's canoe reached that point. The three exchanged meaningful looks but did not speak. Now was not the time to get emotional. Like countless times before. His sister tossed him the loose end of the rope that was attached to the forward bow of the canoe. As they continued to paddle, he pulled them upstream. When he got to it, he recrossed the log bridge. With them landing the canoe on the near bank, at their usual spot. Between the Butchering Yard corral fence and where the Mule Trail meet the Log Bridge. Still not speaking, he held the canoe steady. One at a time, he helped them to their feet. Giving each a brief hug as he did so. Once they were out, he pulled the canoe up on bank to where it usually sat. The two women, yes Branwen was now truly a woman. As she had recently started having her moonthly cycle.
Grabbed their satchels and went. Fenian paused to take off his backpack. Placing it inside the canoe on top of the four paddles. Still keeping his weapons with him. He picked up the extra medical supplies they had brought with them. He followed his mother from a short distance. As she assessed the situation and came up with a plan of action. A thing he had seen her do a number of times in the past. But never in a situation as bad as this one.

Four (including kethwick) head towards the village. People are starting to come out, possibly because they see help here. Many in the village know how to bind wounds, though all the wise women are away but one: Anoras certainly has work to do, and Rhiannon and Branwen would make the work go a lot faster. Some of the wounded make comments about prisoners: the enemy captured a bunch of people.

Cassandra finds Janden, the younger of the two war chiefs, lying on the ground in his own blood. He seems to have been left for dead. He's not conscious but he is at least nominally alive, despite the spear wound through his torso and several chops with a blade through his armor.

Thad looks around for more danger: he finds the obvious muddy tracks leading out of the water. A few more people are coming out of the woods, but not as many as he expected. He finds a skeleton cloven in two after it was all dryed out. It is still twitching and crawling around, covered in mud and holding an axe.

I'm not sure if Fenian is traveling to his mother's or if she is just showing up. Could you clarify? She is not a character under your control, at least not on a blow by blow basis. Going down to her hut is a great course of action. But I generally need what you do, and not what the results are. And OCC, your sister is in trouble, and your character has a lot of information to find.

OCC: "medical" doesn't have extra authority, but "wise woman" does, you are outranked by formal positions.

Sorry about taking so long to post. I'm alive, no one chased me away, I'm just on a long vacation with Dawn to Midnight activity.

Anoras Naturas: "Thank you, Cassandra!" Anoras quickly heads with her medical stock (first aid kit) to War Chief Janden. She fervently hopes she's skilled enough to save his life. To get her thoughts off of her longing for the pre-Venasir attack "old days," she sets her mind in the direction of her task. She imagines the war chief once again standing proud and ready for battle. She believes imagining the future you want can help you get there.

OOC: ericthred I'm glad you're OK and hope that the rest of your vacation goes great!
