Munchkin Dungeon, Duck of Doom at level 10

In Munchkin Dungeon, if you play the Duck of doom to cover the powers of a player, it states they cannot remove it until they level up.
What happens if someone is at level 10, therefore can't level up to remove it?
Does it stay?
It just feels a bit cruel if that's the case.

While that has Munchkin in the title, the game is made by CMON, and not us, so I'm afraid I don't have the answer to that question. It's possible someone else on the forum here might, but I am moving this out of the Munchkin 101 section, as this isn't for our game.
