Re: GURPS Monster Hunters: what will you do with it?
I'm going to hunt some frakking monsters, that is what I'm going to do!
It comes out tomorrow right? RIGHT?! |

Re: GURPS Monster Hunters: what will you do with it?
I'm curious to see what these monsters they're hunting are. Mindless automatons, beasts from hell, intelligent foes?
Oh, and I want to see the "weapons" from the sidebar in GURPS Undead update for 4e. There are efficient ways to kill zombies, and guns and swords are not among them. :) |

Re: GURPS Monster Hunters: what will you do with it?
I'm already running something like this using just the basic set. The templates included in Characters, along with monsters from Creatures of the Night, actually make a pretty awesome basis for a modern monster hunters campaign.
But I'm likely to grab these books, because it looks cool, and might let me run a different style campaign.

Re: GURPS Monster Hunters: what will you do with it?
I would think a good cross-over book would Dungeon Fantasy-Monster Hunters which would give a Ravenloft feel to Dungeon Fantasy. Instead of a monster just sitting in a dungeon waiting to be hacked, the monster might be active in the surrounding towns and the PCs must track it down and defeat it.

Not being a big horror fan, I suspect all I'll do with this one is buy it and let it collect e-dust... unless it has 4E rules for Ghostbusting. (Who you gonna call?)

IS Monster Hunters based on the Monster Hunters Inc novel by Larry Correia
which also looks to become a series like the Dresden Files |

Heck, I've been running an off-and-on again campaign of MHI - Sacramento since shortly after the first book was published by Baen. (Note to self - take picture of the happy face patch at the city limits sign & post on Facebook.)
The product looks interesting. |
