Bobb: "I've never known a 'Dave' who was right in the head."
Bananny: "My brother's name is Dave, and you've summed it up perfectly."

Medic: "Have you come in contact with anything unusual--and do you have any more with you?"

GM: (To an amnesic character) "You're sure you've felt worse--but not in recent memory."

End of session recap: “I try to go back in, roll 15. Game paused for GM to savor rotisserie Captain.”

Player: Ooh, I'm keeping the sword.
GM: (quietly puts his elaborate scheme to subtly tempt the player into taking the obviously evil and cursed sword back in the notebook)

(upon inheriting the powers of an Egyptian-themed magical girl)
Sophie: "I'm not qualified for this!"
Rex: "Khonsu seems to disagree."
Sophie: "Who?"
Rex: "The Egyptian moon god."
<beat>
Sophie: "So . . . in the name of the moon, I will punish you?"

Our fearless I-Cops discovered a new timeline. They learn that it the current year is 1925.

PC: "Okay, lets shoot Hitler."

During session 0 for the Echoes.

(Trying to remember the name of a sci-fi TV show to compare a situation in The Echoes to.)
Bobb: "The Expanse?
Mark: "No. The Expanse is hard science. The hardest science in here is . . . as hard as a Jello Jiggler. And the rest is softer than that."
Chaos: "'Jello Jiggler' is just a good thing to say."

--

Mark: "[Kitasi], I assume you'll be the more-responsible scientific person."
Kitasi: "I'm into astronomy, it's not really something you can be irresponsible with. I mean, what's the worst thing an irresponsible astronomer can do? Get Pluto demoted from a planet?"

(James is in a world without super heroes and has yet to transform into Captain Marvel here, but still has mental conversations with the entities that provide him his powers.)

James (to his FBI contact in the real world): "I'm tempted to take this [military combat drone], so they can try to track it and learn a valuable lesson."
Solomon: "That's Hercules talk! Mercury, grab his tongue before that gets out!"
Hercules: "Hey, that sounds like a great plan!"
Achilles: "No, that's stupid!"
Hercules: "I thought you were supposed to provide courage!"
Achilles: "I do. And I agree with Solomon--"
Achilles and Solomon: "That's stupid!"
Zeus: "That's my boy!"

(Usually, the mental scenes are depicted as Solomon trying to keep control of Zeus and Hercules by employing Achilles and Atlas to help. Mercury is usually at the end of the mental table, eating popcorn and loving on this cute, pink-furred kitten he doesn't know where it came from. They're played out to help James get better control over his Batman tendencies and beat his paranoia into remission. And tend to be quite humorous.)

In mythology, doesn't Hercules usually get away with whatever crazy scheme he's cooked up? like diverting a river to clean a stable or talking atlas into letting him adjust his shoulder?

Though if you're using him as the archetypal "dumb muscle", I suppose that works. rule of funny.
