Default Left side shield

Each figure determines which hand they carry their shield in.

Attacks from that side hex have one less protection from their shield than attacks from the front.

It's reasonable, but it also seems like an unnecessary distinction for TFT's simulation level.

I don't make a distinction between shield side and regular melee combat, but I do figure that horseback characters can only use the shield in the front left (by default) or front center hex -- unless they are expert horsemen.

A bit aside, but I also don't allow non-expert horsemen to use two-handed melee weapons on horseback. (A missile weapon is fine if fired from a distance.)
