OK, I can buy that if there's something in it for the mercs.
Thanks for taking the time to discuss it. :)

So, what is the chance of us seeing GURPS After the End 1 & 2 over the next two weeks? I am quite stoked for this, as I want to run a game.

I think it's highly likely one of them will come out in the next two weeks, but I doubt both of them will.

I was really hoping for 1 to come out next week and 2 the following week. One can wish. XD

I have a feeling that one of the other series that's been hinted at being in production is going to be GURPS Bug Hunt - if only because it's the only other series that's been talked about as being a really good fit for the format.

Y'know, I probably should've started a separate thread for ATE questions. Well, better late than never!

GURPS After the End series - AMA:
http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?t=141723

That way we can talk about ATE itself over there, and focus on this issue of Pyramid over here.

(Though since the two are so darn closely related, I'm not declaring either one off topic in each other's threads. I'm too happy about this news to be tyrannical.)

That's Thundarrr the Barbarian. I want in.
If it involves a battle between David's giant mutant sand worms and "primitive" warriors using salvaged TL9 battlesuits, I'm in.

I'm curious, were the Redeemers in the issue influenced by "The Redeemer" from warhammer 40K? I found the parallel of that Necromunda group enjoyable! Not that they have the same idea, but it was interesting.

Overall, I found the article very enjoyable. Having general concepts for scavenging weapons and duct tape equipment layed out was nice. I also thought the Redeemers got a much needed full treatment, and GMs with writers block for ideas would definitely like fully laid out factions with MAPS! (The maps were great).

While I am a big fan of maps, I am a much bigger fan of groups and stat's.
I think the Redeemers article did both well.

Afraid not. I know very little about W40K. The Redeemers are a gang that I first invented on the spot in my own ATE game, and then decided to flesh out bit by bit until they became the fully realized version in this month's Pyramid.

They sure were. Matt Riggsby went above and beyond to turn my rough ideas into the cartographic wonders you see. I really hope that at least a few fans have access to oversized printers to print out the big version at the end. (And I'm willing to bet that even more are going to import that image into a program like Roll20 for online gang battles.)
