Re: Pyramid #3/88: The End Is Nigh
Y'know, it only takes one Really Bad Day for the cosmos for a Space Opera game to become a Post-Apocalyptic campaign. Just sayin'...

Re: Pyramid #3/88: The End Is Nigh
I don't. People who can't stand each other sometimes team up for mutual gain, especially in a place as dangerous as the wasteland. What I would find unbelievable is if they trusted or liked each other in any way -- which is why I agreed with David making them Disloyal Mercenaries. Those two features pretty much guarantee that if things ever go pear-shaped for DDT, Mercury & company are high-tailing it out of there.

Space Opera has lots a planets. So a Post Apocalypse one makes sense. A crash landing can ensure that the PCs are short on gear as well. When the mae it to the spaceport they go back to normal tech level.

If it's any consolation, that's what I was thinking, too.

Unfortunately, it does not in any way mesh with my view of space opera. Not in a way that would not cause massive suspender breakage.
