I have no inside information, but I'm going to go out on a limb and predict After the End 1 for March 3rd. Edit: This Pyramid explicitly says it's setting up context for that release.

I really enjoyed the backstory and assumptions behind the DDT/Owl Girl forces as well. I'm definitely going to incorporate them into my own biweekly After the End game; they'll fit right in.

I too, am very much looking forward to the "new" series.

I can't make promises, but I'd say you're looking at a countdown to ATE1 best measured in weeks, not months.

DON'T SCARE ME PEOPLE!!! I thought you were all implying Pyramid might be ending! It didn't seem likely, but it still gave me a scare.

Excellent timing, IMO, as I'm starting up a GURPS Rifts game shortly. The "Better Improvised Weapons" will come in really handy, though I'm actually unimpressed with the guns article.

For what it's worth, everything you said will be very supported by After the End, if not necessarily by this issue of Pyramid. In particular, I'm fairly proud of the rules for alternative vehicular fuel sources -- because, as you noted, gasoline spoils relatively quickly.

Yeah, I'm sure it is the After the End series.

My one issue with the DDT story/backround was they were after "Girls, Guns & Gas". I find it hard to belive they would team-up with female mercenaries in their army.

Now I'm starting to regret having chosen Space Opera for my most recently started game over Post Apocalypse... and the only reason the decision swung that way was the lack of something exactly like this issue.

But my wife won't let me change now...
