It is indeed UTF-8 encoded now. That said, you did encode it with the faux-BOM (meh), but that won't break anything.

Yes, GCA's specs officially use UTF-8 without BOM.

The problem with taking long breaks is that I forget simple things like this (assuming I ever knew them to begin with). Thank you. I'll try to keep this information in mind when I write more data files.

Added a link to the first post for the Wizardry Redefined article from Pyramid 3-60, which includes new spell prerequisites and an updated version of the DF1 Wizard template that references those spells.
