If Kromm can do no wrong, why is there errata?

Sadly, this is actually knowable and the answer is cheesy: "Because Kromm reads less than half of GURPS content, and edits even less than that." The real koan has something to do with the nature of time and why there isn't enough of it for the guy titled "GURPS Line Editor" to read much less edit more than a small part of the line.

That or it's just something to make sure that the loyal GURPSer is paying attention...

OK, I think Warren has now established himself as the "Grandfather Coyote" of the pantheon.

It is there to make sure that we pay proper attention to the text.

So, what we need to do is place all writers near a black hole. That way, their time will go slower, and there will be more time for you to read what they produce. Hmm.... tricky.

Edit: You would, of course, have to state in what frame of reference deadlines were to be met, but that's a comparatively trivial problem.

It appears that the High Priest will be returning to us, though not to the Holy Mother Thread. The following recently appeared from Andrew in the "Banned" thread.

"After discussions among the moderators and a close examination of just what vBulletin will and will not allow us to do, we are trying an experiment. Because Icelander was a useful contributor to the GURPS forums, and his problems came about as a result of indiscretions in All Hail Discordia, we are restoring his access to all forums except those in that hierarchy.

If this works, we may consider this in other rare instances where a person's contributions in one area outweigh detrimental behavior elsewhere."

It's a pity that Personalities is in the same heirarchy as GenChat (where it sounds like the problem occurred), but otherwise, it sounds like a useful solution.

Let the Krommunity rejoice, for one of their Brethren has been restored, though as if from afar.

So, if today's Illuminator is right, and Kromm's estimate isn't just a test of our faith, that would mean that we are a quarter of the way to Cabaret Chicks On Ice.

All praise to Kromm!

You've got that backwards. If you place the writers near the black hole their time goes slower, making their work take infinitely longer to the rest of us. Therefore the solution is to place all of the customers near a black hole, so that our time to wait is infinitely slowed, thus increasing the writers speed from our frame of reference.
