[IC] Lost in Dreams [Elijah]

Harold shoots a couple of bullets into the sky. A few more shots ring out, some on from the centrans, at least one from secundians.

finally, as Elijah and Sean get closer, the woman who rolled out of the cloud stands up with a riffle held above her head in clear surrender. Tears are streaming from her eyes and they are puffed up, both effects of the gas. She yells "We surrender", and the shooting stops.

All the others are retching and clearly incapacitated.

[Talosian]

With Ivan's permission, Elijah will wait until the gas clears, then make sure that all of their new captives are alright. He'll also offer them some water to wash their eyes out with.

He'll also assist the others in securing weapons, and anything else they ask him to do.

The prisoners are grateful for the water. The woman who surrendered seems to be the commanding officer. She tells Harold that while they promise to surrender, they cannot promise not to try to escape, and is trying to negotiate their fate.

Elijah is helping one prisoner with water when he realizes the man looks exactly like Ryan Schofeild, a friend from home. Looking down, he sees the man's name tag: Leuitentant Schofeild.

While helping the prisoners, Elijah tries to keep tabs on what's happening between Harold and the Secundan commanding officer. As Elijah recognizes Ryan, he blinks, looking at his friend in confusion. "Ryan?"

The main issue at stake between Harold and the officer seems to be where they end up. The secundians want to return home, or at least to a close parallel, but none of those seem to be options. They don't want to end up on Centrum, claiming "Then you may as well kill us now". They are negotiating for good behavior on part of the Secundians: Harold doesn't seem to think he can keep all of them from escaping or sending a message.

Lt. Schofeild looks over at Elijah, though he can't see him clearly "Who is that?"

[Talosian]

"It's Elijah. How the hell did you get here?"

[ericthered]

"On the job... wait, what are you doing here? you where in chicago working on parachronics..."

[Talosian]

"What?" A split second passes, then Elijah adds, "Oh, f**k." Wait, I'm working for Secundus in this universe, am I on the wrong side? Is this going to cause a paradox? "F**k. Forget about it, I'm not the Elijah you know. I'm going to need you to explain Secundus and Centrum to me, because they don't exist where I'm from."

Ryan tries to wipe his eyes "An alternate. And working for centrum. who knows my alternate. which high school did you attend?"

[Talosian]

"William Fremd. I'm not working for Centrum. I woke up in the jungle a few days ago. They think I'm a world jumper."
