Let's see 4 4-hex dragons fight 4 human fighters in an open space where flight and free movement is possible. That would be a complete humanoid blood bath.

For 32-point fighters without special equipment, anyway, probably so.

Would it be too much to ask that Summoned Dragons (and their illusions) lack the talents of actual dragons?

No, as I've written before, the summoned dragons were clearly designed by Steve to be summonable in Wizard without breaking game balance, and it makes sense (and gives desirable balance against real dragons) if summoned dragons are kind of minimal examples with no life experience, hence no special talents. That naturally gives good context for having actual dragons possibly having various talents and improved abilities compared to what wizards can conjure.

For comparison, the default myrmidon doesn't even bring a shield.
