Official tactical options include intentionally making yourself vomit, (either faking illness, actually making yourself sick, or vomiting discretely) and interfering with the food supplies to remove the drug, either for the entire ship, or for just your mess. You can also come up with plans yourselves, of course.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
Do we just want to use GM rolling, or shall I set up a room on a dice rolling site?
Also, feel free to ad-lib your cover story.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
I am all for GM rolling if it makes things easier. Either way is good.

It will require you to register an email, to tell me that email, and for me to add that email, but then the site works pretty well.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
Cool thanks, you're added, but you should delete that link before spammers see it. I was expecting a private message, to be honest.

The Stardrive needs this cloud outside in order to stay in hyperspace, and making this cloud is an important part of the stardrive. Plasma emitters are mostly taken care of by the the shields section, but a few engineers trained in star drives are also assigned to the plasma emitters. Day and Pothi are among those engineers. That's why Pothi feels comfortable going up to the shields section to chat and get a standing dinner invitation. I gave you this position because your character is exceptionally good at EVA, trained in the star-drive, and you were asking for someone with an excuse to travel all over the ship. Your position is at any of the plasma emmiters. You are also useful when helping with the star-drive core, but your main job is the emitters.

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
I suppose now might be a good time to ask if we have many specifics on our mission.
-Are we to wrest control of the ship and take it into combat action (which I assume is beyond the scope of just two people, even if they are psionics)? -Are we to redirect the ship to a certain point where the Zorbani prisoners can be offloaded and a new Jakorbi crew can take board? -Specific tasks or actions that must be accomplished by certain points in time? -Off-ship communications or progress reports that must be covertly sent? -Do we have preassigned moral reservations in our actions (kill everyone/avoid casualties/any means necessary/Geneva Conventions)(Guessing anything goes)? -I'm assuming we are trying to keep the ship in prime operational condition so that it can be utilized by the Jakorbi after it is procured. Any other specifics before we get into the nitty gritty of coming up with a plan ourselves would be appreciated. |

Re: DreadStormers (OOC)
Those are some good questions.
Quote:
You also aren't required or expected to keep the ship in complete working order. Most dreadstormer captures are expected to have damage of one sort or another. It is expected that the damage can be repaired, and requiring major refits afterwards is not uncommon, though undesirable. Quote:

As far as timing goes, the voyage is expected to last two to four months, including combat. It is hoped that you will secure the ship before any combat happens, but when its close to Jakorbi space, which should happen in the three to five week range. You are expected to find each other by at least the second week, and most dreadstormers have their psi on by then. Taking a different route is not unexpected. There is an expectation that your mission won't take two months to complete, and if you are still working on taking the ship after three months, you should probably try to send a message about why its taking so long. Any other questions?
