Town freaks out about an alien invasion being broadcast over the radio. This is not a repeat from 1938.

The aliens have come for our water. Alert Marc Singer.

20,000 gallons of water were stolen from a water tank at a school in Humboldt County, CA, forcing the school to close for lack of running water. This left comes a month after another 20,000 gallons of water was stolen from a different community.

Apparently the alien ship or shuttle has a capacity of only 20,000 gallons at a time. That's about the cargo capacity of the Classic Traveller Type S scout ship. It could be the Vilani. So beware -- they look like humans. Anyone could be a Vilani mole.

Only at the end of the article, as an afterthought, is the most likely reason for stealing water mentioned. Marijuana growing where legal gather of such large amounts would likely alert authorities to hanky panky.

So, we're looking for drug dealing, possibly intoxicated Vilani?

Ground squirrels threaten nuclear missile silos.

I see two possibilities: a) these are super-squirrels afected by the radiation, or b) China is breeding supoer-squirrels to destroy the U.S. missile program.

Nah, just EU-produced squirrel bioshells carrying gremlin cyberswarms. Waiting until the Americans feel safe and used to squirrels digging nearby.

Love the picture at the top of the article, though. Have you ever seen anything so menacingly cute? :-)
