That was the Resistance, trying to grow our Enlightened numbers by symbolically breaking you out of your simulated reality. Symbols are about all we have to work with in dreams. Sadly, it didn't work. Next time...

Divers specializing in missing persons cases found 32 cars dumped in a lake in Miami suburbs in southern florida.
"The body of water where the divers found the vehicles is in a commercial area surrounded by businesses including a Walmart Supercenter, a car dealership and several popular chain restaurants." Calling the area a lake is interesting... the google map of the lake is here, and is very very much a commercial area, and the lake looks like a radiator. Its interesting that this is the area chosen. Looking at the maps of the area, its littered with artificial lakes and eventually transitions into the everglades... a really cool place to run an action or monster hunters campaign. Also, I did not know that "Volunteer Divers to find missing persons" was a thing. That sounds like a great group of people for PC's to know or to be.

There usually isn't any need for that sort of capability to be kept on the books when it'll sit around with nothing to do most of the time, so police often call on people with unique skills and/or equipment (or less unique ones, like aerial search, in the case of small departments with limited budgets) that would be helpful in such circumstances.

I've had a bit of weirdness last week.
We don't get many legit landline calls. Going rate is 1.5 scammer calls per day. (2 over 50, 1 almost 50 at the number.) Clear scammer call, "This is Windows Care. You have a virus." (My windows boxes both offline, am using my chromebook.) I said, "Not falling for it." "For what?" says the north Indian accented voice. "Whatever it is you're scamming this week." "Ok. Have a nice day." «click» First time I've ever had a scammer actually say "have a nice day." Normally they start swearing at me. |

Just got back from Seattle where I encountered the famed Gum Wall
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gum_Wall Now I'm trying to work it into a plot.... Perp takes gum from the wall to sample a particular person's DNA (having watched them place it), or to just get random DNA to plant at a crime scene? Gum golem? Other ideas anyone? |

What's hidden underneath the gum?
Who got the idea into the local memeplex, and why?
