We never see him in a setting where Streetwise seems used, though he could have had it from before becoming detective.
Every case? Maybe. I just was thinking about it and had one of those flights of inspiration.
The first line in the skill description :This is the skill of talking others
into doing things against their better judgment.


He walks away away then comes back with that line and some question. Usually they are just trying to get him to go away and answer quickly, without really thinking about it. It was something I wondered how to model without using powers and Fast-Talk seems to fit.
Appreciate your thoughts, any suggestions for additional topics?

Bad idea. Columbo's shtick is just clever use of Interrogation skill.

Good interrogation doesn't consist of use torture, coercion, or the sort of high-pressure "good cop/bad cop" crap you see in movies & TV shows.

Instead, it consists of asking leading questions and using other conversational gambits to put people at ease or catch them off guard so that they reveal information. It also includes noticing inconsistencies in a person's story and calling them out if it's appropriate to do so. Often, a good interrogator can get the information they want without the subject ever realizing that they've given it away.

Fast-Talk has its place in police work, but it covers things like getting potential informants or reluctant witnesses to cooperate. It could be a complementary skill to Interrogation, however, such as securing a suspect's confession by making false promises of leniency.

Well that would work with Fast-Talk but not Intimidation.

Due to some personal issues that have been going on for awhile I have put off some planned changes.
Today I started back on the blog and started redoing my genre pages.
I added a list of genres on a sidebar for quick navigation and shortened the general settings and genre page. Every genre will have tis own page and a list of books and links to other material supporting that genre.
First up is Fantasy
Feedback appreciated and I will try to do at least one genre a week.
