Okay, I dug around the archives for the GURPS articles.

Concerning Venus, I read Ben Bova's book on the planet and they had to use a lead spitting machine just to transfer the heat of the planet's surface away from the lander. Venus would melt or weld together any machinery unfortunate enough to have to land there.

I've always fancied the idea of a planetary assault in Ogre. I would just love to see an orbital drop of a Mark VI.

Planetary assault by an ogre? thats easy. Read some of the Bolo books by K Laumer. They show, in incredible detail, something the size and power of an Ogre making an orbital assault drop. The drop pod is quite an interesting vehicle.

You have to be a subscriber to Pyramid to access those particular files.

Given that Pyramid has changed formats and is no longer available for subscription, it would be nice if either those images were opened up to the Ogre community (maybe move the article to the Ogre page, complete with the images?) or they gave us some other way to access them, especially given the current resurgance of Ogre :)
