A gold finger ring that unfolds into a tiny armillary sphere. A nice little item for your astrologer, or your navigator.

Or perhaps your astronavigator, if it charts the right section of hyperspace.

You don't need to go to Egypt for a tomb full of gold and treasures:

There is a book which can kill you if you read it.

Fortunately, they put the warnings on the front page.

This is now the graduation ring for the etherflyer navigation school in my GUrPS Space 1889 game. I also found a 3D print file to make them https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3629149

Apparently, the D&D Cartoon is a Thing in Brazil: near-constant syndication since the 80s, frequent theme for Carnivale floats, heavy cosplay at Brazilian conventions.

This is the sound of my childhood...giving a fist pump and going "Yes!", actually.

Brazilian, Live Action D&D Renault commercial, based on the 80s D&D cartoon:

Now I wanna Kickstarter a campaign to dub the commercial with the American voice actors from the 80s...

The production level on that commercial is way above what I expected.

Burglar takes nothing but the dirt

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. —
A Massachusetts homeowner came home last week to find that someone had broken into his residence.

But after a quick search of the home, he realized nothing was missing.

In fact, it was perfectly made up, more perfect than how the family left it when they went out.

Roman believes because of the toilet paper roses, it was probably a cleaning service that went to the wrong house, but he's not taking any chances and has changed all the locks to his home.

A "cleaning service." I hope it wasn't John Wick's.

I know!

There have been rumors of a live-action movie version of the cartoon floating around parts of the web for a few months. This commercial was the source.

More USN UFO sightings

https://www.boston.com/news/national...flying-objects

The sightings were reported to the Pentagon’s shadowy, little-known Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, which analyzed the radar data, video footage and accounts provided by senior officers from the Roosevelt. Luis Elizondo, a military intelligence official who ran the program until he resigned in 2017, called the sightings “a striking series of incidents.”

The program, which began in 2007 and was largely funded at the request of Sen. Harry Reid, the Nevada Democrat who was the Senate majority leader at the time, was officially shut down in 2012 when the money dried up, according to the Pentagon. But the Navy recently said it currently investigates military reports of UFOs, and Elizondo and other participants say the program — parts of it remain classified — has continued in other forms. The program has also studied video that shows a whitish oval object described as a giant Tic Tac, about the size of a commercial plane, encountered by two Navy fighter jets off the coast of San Diego in 2004.
