Do you mean source as Powers defines it? The kind of requirements you mention sound like Environmental.

Source is more of "ER can only be refilled by absorbing smoke, draining a neon sign, absorbing paper, etc." Environmental sounds about right, but the value of such things is what I'm not 100% sure on.

And no, a cigarette does not produce anywhere near enough smoke to count.
